Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

I had one hell of a respiratory infection back in December that caused me to go to the doctor for the first time from a sickness. It had been 24 years since I had been to the doctor and that was for a routine high school sports physical. I missed four days of work as a result.

No fever. No nasal congestion. I really wonder if this has been around longer than we think.

That is sad. I was at the campus one time in like 09 I think.

It really is an affluent microcosm to the point where students that get aid (or are minorities) wonder if they will even fit in.

What were you on campus for? Let alone even bothering to visit Indiana?

Guy I knew in Ohio was obsessed with their fb team and went every year to numerous games. He had an extra ticket to a game so I went. I can see how the high tuition cost and whatnot could drive a split between affluent people and those on on scholarships/aid/minorities.

I hung out with some kids that were on full rides for tennis from another country in college. It seemed like they didn’t have a ton of social interactions with others. English wasn’t their first language, but they could speak it well enough to get by. I don’t know if that was part of it, or if they felt like they didn’t belong, or ?

I mean look at conditions currently in Italy at just one hospital. I realize they have more cases than the US currently, but it’s a sad situation for those who are at risk.

be thankful we are way better prepared and have better medical resources.

**** webby I’m sorry. This hit me hard. Got my heart beating.

last “flu” I had I never developed a sore throat and had a wicked fever and mass amounts of lung butter. One night I was hacking so hard I just kept a bucket next to my bed so I could hack up my lungs throughout the night. Come to think of it I went for an antibiotic shot cause I felt so bad after 3 days. I got sicker but finally got over it. Was the worst sickness I had in years. This was in early December.

If you, or anybody else, plans to come to town during a home game (Notre Dame for those that don't know), let me know. Tailgating is bar none and I can probably get some tickets for the game.

I tailgate with some friends at pretty much every home game.

My dads best friends son lives in Ann Arbor. I’m out there like twice a year. Next time I cruise I’ll hit u up.

If football happens this fall I’ll have to let him know. One moved to Tennessee and one is on the KY/OH boarder. I don’t know if they’ve made plans for this fall yet or not.

I don’t know how Italy is, but I hear endless bad news every day from her work. They are having toilet paper stolen, they’re running low on all n95 masks and all other supplies needed for dealing with infected people. They’ve canceled all non essential/elective procedures and surgeries at the two closest hospitals. Only life threatening surgeries are being done. Office visits in the clinic are all canceled now unless it’s a life threatening case. The entire state is having issues with getting test kits. At the drive up test centers they’re only swabbing some people, and telling others to just quarantine (if they can’t provide info on another positive case they’ve been around/been outside the country). Ventilators are in low supply. It’s just kind of a mess.

The numbers they’re reporting are total bs. 1200 cases on the 10th to over 14k today in the US “confirmed”, and how many not confirmed? That hockey stick upward is going to keep climbing if more measures aren’t put into place. I realize no one wants to be told to stay put, but this will just keep dragging on for a long time if something isn’t done.

Every state issuing their own set of rules isn’t the solution either. If I visit another state right after their quarantine and infect them...it just starts the cycle again. Some states still have movie theaters, restaurants, beaches, churches going on like all is fine.

Yea man. I need to stop being stubborn and just accept it. It’s for the better. Its just really getting to me the amount of people being hurt financially from this. I really really hope we learn from this for future outbreaks. However I agree. The numbers are wild inaccurate.

I am always willing to host and give tours of campus.

I don't think we will get accurate numbers of infections, a/symptotmatic, in relation to deaths for at least a year.

I would love to have a professor that drives a supercharged si.

Not a professor for ND, but have been an adjunct professor for the Indiana University system for quite a few years.

i was pretty ignorant to this whole virus situation in the beginning. mostly because i was in spain and portugal and it was business as usual there. no one seemed to care, although i was in areas with very low cases of it. it didnt hit me until the day after i got back to canada and i was asked not to come back to work for 2 weeks and then it seems to have blown up. i understand the need for isolation and shutting down services but it does suck for everyone involved. schools in canada could be shut down till september when they start again which is huge. my unemployment insurance is 55% of my income so i can pretty much pay my mortage with it, thankfully my wife will get it too.

this whole thing sucks and sometime i wish they would just let it happen and who ever dies dies but i have lots of family that probably wouldnt make it. hell i might not make it seeing as some young people are dying with history of asthma and bronchitis ( as well as other issue ) which i have out grown but its possible. i think there are lots of people that are high risk that dont even know it.
