I tried that before and the water piles up in the space between the table edge and the back of the chair....all the way around the table.
I read thread after thread and felt like I came out of the other side more undecided than when I started. That's part of the reason mine is still sitting on a shelf in the garage. I think I'll go ahead and install since I don't think it can do any damage, but could actually end up helping.

I’m fully aware. My niece and nephew were asking if I’d still visit once the flu was over. So, as soon as I can, I’ll be headed that way. Unlikely to have my Civic with me but head down there anyway.
