As far as plans... I'm currently in Austin -- basically just goofing around for the 4th.
Bought some new Vans
Bought some records from Waterloo on 6th street
Chilled at the too-expensive Domain (nice live music from nearby bar)

Been wanting a charcoal bbq for a while. Went with a weber. Went camping last year and this exact bbq was provided at the site. Used lighter fluid and anything I could think of to light the charcoal but ultimately failed and took for ever. Using a chimney with a fire starter is a game changer.

One of the neighbors cooked burgers and dogs and rented a inflatable bounce house and water slide for the kids. Everyone else brought sides and desserts. It was hot but still fun. Fireworks later at night.

i think an alternative fuel is more realistic. something that can have a larger range. electric wont work if you want to drive large distances. its a little inconvenient to wait for your car to charge every few hundred miles. unless they come up with a way to fully charge in a few minutes.
