Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

i couldnt do it. id like to live closer to work though. i wish i coul bike to work in the warmer months. driving 80km a day sucks sometimes. forgot my tool box keys shortly after getting this job and decided it was easier to drill out the lock than to drive home to get the keys.

Thats the other thing....the cummute! If I was at my old job, I would be driving 16 miles and take an hour to get there if there wasn't a wreck. No thanks....

15.6 miles from my house to my main office.
4.1 miles from my house to my remote office.

Granted I can drive 8.2 miles per day (if I just go to my remote office/back home - which I rarely do) or 30, 40, 50, 60 miles in a day. I don't have a commute like Dad and Janz3n though.

I wouldn't mind a "home base" type job where you go around to different locations etc. but commuting an hour through farmyards is really boring

I'm extremely envious
Come on up. The weather up here is great right now. Mid-70s to mid-80s as a high. Sun comes up a little after 5am and goes down after 9pm. Some mosquitos to deal with but nothing like a lot of other areas.

Unfortunately the overhead heaters are next spring and who knows when we’ll get the fire table on order. That’s a 30”x50”x20” hidden horizontal tank table.

I work with a guy that used to live about a hour north of Seattle and he said he HAD to move back to Texas because he missed the heat.. this dude is insane

I don't get many mosquitos here but we get fish flys.

I've heard about how bad those swarms can get, I couldn't deal with that at all

Some people can't deal with all the rain and the sun not being out all the time. Especially when someone moves into the area being from a warmer climate. Wierd but it happens.....

My wifes friend that lives in Seattle(was from VA) bought a "vitamin D light" as she misses the sun or something like that. Basically a light that mimics sunlight.

Have you considered a career in radiology, you could work in a dark room by yourself or nearly so, work from home often, barely ever have to interact with patients or other people by any means other than a telephone?

That's like me in the winter months here in Maryland. Especially when it gets dark at like 4pm... Get seasonal depression.
My parents have a light as you are referring to.

I could happily live in a cave :rotfl:

What's wrong with me?

Well... you asked. I'm sure there is a lot wrong with you :hiding:

I actually was going to go to college for radiology many many moons ago, probably should have been my career choice

I guess I sound a lot like Dracula :rotfl:
