I can't say I've done that personnally (as I've not worked on Ram 3500); but, I do hate when I do things like that. Something simple that should only take a reasonable amount of time is complicated by one simple mistake that takes you 5x longer to figure out and then fix said mistake to get the job done.Replaced an ignition switch on a 2005 ram 3500 today because the first one I installed was faulty ( abs, parking brake lights come on and speedo stops working over bumps, could duplicate by hitting it with my hand). Finished installing it. Confirmed it was fixed. Put the steering column shields back on and it wouldn't start. I spent more time than I want to admit to figure out I put the column shifter in reverse when I put the shields back on.
