I actually got lazy. I did half of it and then gave it up. thought it wouldn't be noticed... I was wrong..lol
 
I wrapped mine as well and was struggling that in that area. I did it the first time the way you did it and it didnt look right, others say it looks fine but in the back of my mind I will always know its off...
