NBA Thread

Man, I haven't followed NBA for so long and I just started last round. It is really amazing how quickly I started to hate the Heat. Can't stand Lebron or Birdman. NHL hockey players are so humble and always pass off any given credit to their teammates. Lebron is waayyyy too self centered.......when he started making comments that he was better than Jordan I was rolling my eyes. What an egomaniac......this guy has serious issues. Not to mention the flopping....he should play soccer.

He never said hes better than jordan....
And any of lebrons teammates comment on how good of a teammate he is...LOL

Oh...there's a Heat fan in here. Are you saying Lebron is humble and didn't compare himself to Jordan?
No im not saying hes humble. Did i say that? And show me where he compares himself to Jordan? This is a question that he is asked on a day to day basis. And i take it you're not really a basketball fan but Jordan has openly dismissed LBJ since he came in the league...downplaying everything he does...and dont forget, MJ was even more egotistical than Lebron...and MJ is the best ever...no if ands or buts

He's right, Lebron doesn't consider himself better than Jordan... it's the damn announcers and analysts of the broadcasting stations and NBA! For example on tonight's pregame, "He's not in Jordan mode." NO **** EARVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON, JR., he's not Jordan and never will be. For once I would just like to watch a game without the chatter and bogus remarks.

I see LeBron as a very good player. I just don't like how he plays. He's the best player in the NBA but he flops and flops a lot.

He's good, I'll give you that. I don't consider him the BEST player in the NBA; the NBA makes and wants you to think he is. But hey, what does my opinion matter.

Well, it seems I stand corrected. After doing more research into this, I was unable to find any proof that Lebron did actually say he was better than MJ. Apologies.

Still don't like him as a player though.

This is why I like FS Florida and sun sports. We get all magic games on these channels and I don't have to listen to Jeff can Gundy and the other ESPN idiots.

TNT is good though.

Last night was ridiculous in terms of the comments.

Van Gundy is too biased. As well as that other guy (not Mike) who said that Battier was fouled and Neal flopped. Lol.

Lol Lebron is by far the best player in the NBA today, regardless of what anyone says. He has had one of the best singular seasons EVER this year. The only criticism anyone can have of him is his habit of shrinking in big series. And even still, it's looking like he's about to win his second straight championship.

Kinda, but not really. If this series stays alternating, Spurs will win. :giggle:

Like I said... what does my opinion matter. How does it look like he's about to win his second straight championship? The series is tied... it can go either way.

Idf the big three can produce like they did nobody can beat them....and hate him or love him, he is the best player today....no question

Because the Spurs looked tired last night and Wade looked re-energized. If Wade can play like he did last night the rest of the series the Spurs won't have a chance. That's a big if, however.

Wade barely did that in the season though. I'm not quite sure if he can do it again for 2 straight games.

I agree that he isn't the best player. I don't know who is but I can't call someone who pushes off, travels, and flops throughout the entire game to get most of his stats the best player in the game. Is he the best at getting away with it? Probably

I suppose.

The organization likes to spoon feed Miami though.

Recaps from last night's flops:

Ginobili's arm extended, but it didn't touch Battier. Battier flops.

Chris Bosh gets boxed out. He flops. :pat:

Boxing out is a fundamental move. And that move came from Mr. Fundamentals himself...

And of course there's no news about getting fined. LeBron was the only Heat fined in the Playoffs. That's because a couple of Pacers flopped with him in the last series. If a Spur flopped with Battier and Bosh last game, the fines would have been given out instantly.
