Official Computer Talk Thread

My 1080Ti has been suiting me just fine as well. I don't game much either, but it seems to take whatever I throw at it pretty well. My monitor is only 1440 though, so it might not do as well when I move to a newer monitor.
I use a TV so I'm stuck at 60fps for the most part.

are gpus easier to get now?

Negative. I just lucked out with an AMD drop (directly from their website) a few months back. Now I find it a challenge to get cards. It's like gambling sorta but I don't sell them for a markup if I get any cards.

Nice build. Look at all that RGB!!! :giggle:

RBG will be disabled ;)

He’s going to the dark side!!!!

Yes.... Well not the Apple side lol ;)

Not sure what I’m supposed to be looking at, or what you’re reacting to?

Just saying 1.5V @ 4.8Ghz. Not crazy for the Ryzen 7 CPU's but a bit higher than I'm used to for my previous builds.

That’s what mine runs at. At first I thought I messed up on thermal paste. Did it again. That processor will bake you some cakes.

I’ve climbed a bit over 80C in productivity type loads. Typically while gaming, it’s in lower to mid-70s. But these chips run high voltage and pretty hot.

Said it on Discord but won the Newegg Shuffle yesterday after 30+ entries.

It was a bundle (Asus RTX 3080 Tuf & 27" Asus 1440p 165hz Curved Monitor).

Crazy how much these GPUs cost these days and how hard they are to get :(

Holy shitballs! $1070 for the TUF 3080? That's a 50% markup even on the shuffle!
