Odd, they asked me to do the same thing when I inquired about ordering a shift boot for my 2013. Poland, right?

EDIT:

This is how my 9th will look once Redline gets back to me about that exact boot. Unfortunately, I forgot to remove my titanium sk2 shift knob when I sold my 8th lol.. so I'll have to drop another $150 on it.. sigh

How to you get your shift boot to look like that where it kinda folds in at the top? I have mine zip tied and tucked inside the hole on the shift knob and it looks crappy. Is there a piece that dpes that?

Redline does awesome work if and when they get it right. Thankfully I've never had to deal with them. The original owner of my car got one, and from the story he told me, it was about as easy as trying to import an endangered white lion into the country for your house cat. My best friend ordered a boot for his VW. Didn't fit, and they wanted him to send the OEM boot for fitment testing....AFTER he had already cut one up and sent it to them as a template when he first placed the order. Sadly I've heard this same story a number of different times. It's a shame. Like I said, when they get it right it's a beautiful piece. Their customer service issues need some MAJOR overhauling.

That sucks about your titanium knob ericc191. I'm probably mistaken, but I could have sworn Corsport has that same knob for MUCH less than $150. It doesn't hurt to look.

I may have said this elsewhere, but it bears repeating. I, too, sent Redline my oem 9th Si boot to "Maciek," the owner of Redline Goods in Poland (Feb this year). He was to cut it up, use it as a template and send me a "free" boot in return. I never received it. I don't care, because the oem boot looked like cr** anyway.

Ya know, I've got about a cubic mile of suede Im gonna use for another small business venture, I was thinking about making some shift boots as well. If someone wants to send me a 9th shift boot as a template in exchange for a free boot, I'd make some.

Seriously? FML. I really hope I get my armrest back.. don't care about the shift boot. Since he said he'll send a free one as long as I do a write up on how to install it along with a refundable $70.00 that I'll get back after sending him my install write up...

I guess I'm lucky then. I sent no money. It was to be a straight swap.

I've ordered from them twice before and had no issues, so I'm going to say they are reputable.

I can't find any other shift knobs shaped like that s2000 titanium knob. Anyone know of another?

Also, what does derlin feel like?

ah, okay.

EDIT: I got my s2k knob back, but the nut that came with it won't screw onto our 9ths, apparently.

Anyone know if the threading is different from the 8th or do I just need to force it on with a wrench?

Finally got my Type R knob in.
