Do they need to be bored out? Never really thought about the center bores when buying rims.
Ya I could bore them out but I think I found some other wheels that im wanting anyway. How does the 215 tire fit on the 9 inch wide wheel. I don't like the super stretch look but it doesn't look like its much of a stretdh on yours.

It's not much of a stretch but the shop that I went to they still had a hard time trying to get it on the rim
 
Can I ask you where you got your spacers? Did you go with hubcentric? Any info yuo can give would be helpful. For instance, is this the right size for the front? As you might know, I just put on the same rims after having seen and liked yours.

i ordered mine from ebay, and yes i went with hub centric. i typed in 2012 civic wheels spacers plus the size i wanted for the search bar. are you going with 15mm all the way around or are you going to run the same setup as me? (15 and 20)

that's right haha. it's a great look and yes, i decided to go 15mm front and 20mm rear, hubcentric. Now, without taking a wheel off, I don't recall if the "S" rims have have recesses in back, in case the spacer bolts (especially 15mm front spacers) might protrude a little. These wheels have those pockets in the back so the wheel sits flush against the spacer, right?

Why did you go 15 mm and 20 mm? Why not the same? You wanted the rear to be out farther?

my rough measurements showed that 20mm brings the wheels flush, and I figure that thevietkid backed off a little on the front to ensure no rubbing on the wheels that have to turn . . . so I did too. Maybe he will see this and confirm.

Anybody have creaking or popping while turning at low speeds? Usually when parking or any time you have to turn the wheel all the way? Ive been on eibach prokit spings on my lx for a while now and this just doesn't seem to go away.

I'm about to install my lowering springs on my 2013 civic si (fb6) the eibach sport lines be exact and wanted to know if those creaking/popping sounds normal when you lower the car? Does it go away? It seems like alot of people are getting those sounds. Is majority of people just installing then wrong lol?
 
We should start a poll on these springs for my LX....I'm about to pull the tripper on the Eibach Pro Kit springs, but won't until I am sure there are no issues.

ive had my springs on my car for over 10k miles, no noises whatsoever.
 
I think it's improper installation. I only know about the eibach springs. If the installer seats the end of the spring right up against the stop, you will get noises, and maybe over time it will go away. Eibach instructions say to seat the end of the spring, then back it off 1/4 or 1/2 inch (I forget exactly). The point is not to introduce metal to metal. I had small noises and squeaks I'd notice in my parking garage at work and going SLOWLY over the speed bumps in the garage, and turning at slow speed. I jhad to listen for it. That's all gone now, some 8K miles later. I did not watch the installer, but he didn't read the intructions and just jammed the springs against the stops.

I got my 20mm rear hubcentric spacers in the mail today. Waiting for the 15mm fronts. thevietkid33 or anyone with spacers, should I use some medium loctite (is it red?) when I torque the spacer bolts down to factory spec? I don't want that spacer loosening up.

torque them down to factory specs, drive with the spacers on for about a week and then retorque them. i didnt use loctite and mine are fine. i just re torque them from time to time.

I was hoping for some direction before I decide to pull off my front suspension again. The only noise I get is slow speed with multiple turns of the wheel. No noise on bumps or during regular road/highway driving I've had them on for 2000 miles now and it's been happening with the same frequency as day one. It's more of a nuisance than anything else

Sorry to do this to you but this thread is 80 pages now. What springs and whose bump stops are you using? If it's eibach prokit, the fronts use the oem bump stops. They would like tyou to replce the rears with the ones in the kit, but it's a real pain to cut open your rear shocks to put theirs in. Not worth it at all imho.
