Toyota GT-86 Production Images & Video

I think 4 is enough, :giggle: But yes, the light there looks odd. Maybe they should of made it a bit smaller.

The Toyota's looks are starting to grow on me, however I still prefer subaru's brz more

I'm thinking about getting a blue one, it's just too good looking

grey is my 2nd choice

pricing for japan released. Granted the exchange rates and pricing could differ from country to country...

Prices for the entry-level “Customizing Grade” 86 will start at $25,950. Apparently intended for those that plan on turning their ride into a customized tuner car, the base model 86 comes with unpainted bumpers, a six-speed manual transmission and no air conditioning.

For those less interested in aftermarket body kits, Toyota will offer three more traditional trim-levels for the 86 – the G ($31,425), mid-level GT ($36,380) and range-topping GT Limited ($38,730). Options include LED headlamps and a Torsen LSD.

Toyota originally targeted a price point of $20,000 for the U.S. Version of the 86 (Scion FR-S), but has indicated that price could land closer to the $25,000 mark. Given the Japanese pricing of the car, we wouldn’t be surprised to the FR-S within spitting distance of $30,000.

There has to be more wiggle room on price between countries,... because I don't see that working out well.

I think the "customizing grade" is a cool idea, but I don't know how much it will sell. That being said, I'm assuming they will be made to order

Jason: Where is your picture(s) from yesterday!? :)

Whats with all the fire extinguishers? Is Toyota making a fireball with a sticky throttle? ... I for one hope so!

Hahaha Nomarz wants the v8. Maybe this will inspire supra production in some way

A car guy we were talking with recently swore on the fact that there was no way a V8 would fit in the Toyota GT 86 / Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ. "The hood line's too low," he said.
Japanese drifter Max Orido has proven that guy wrong -- and built a totally bitchin' drift machine -- by shoving the 416-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 from the Lexus IS-F into his new D1 Grand Prix Drift car.

I guess I'll be seeing a lot of FT-86/FR-S/BR-Z swapped with IS-F V8 or 2JZ on the next Formula Drift events.

I think the production 86 should have been a v6 or a turbo'd 250hp (similar to the s15) car, even though the bigger engine will throw off the weight distribution. A flat 6 would be pretty cool. Haha.

:bricks:

I wouldn't say no to it....that vid reminds me of the noises Mikes brothers LS1 swapped 240 makes.

Nomar has BMW.. Put a V8 in the BMW :)

Yuz! If I remember correctly there was a drift 335i that had a V8 or V10 swapped into it.
