Turbo+ AWD!!!!!

Now why would I claybar a car that's only 6 months old? I sure hope you don't claybar every time you wax. If so, send me pics of your faded paint in five years.

You'd be surprised how many contaminants are on the paint already. Then you take wax and spread that all over on top of it. ugh, no. To have a silky smooth paint, please do clay bar

I claybarred the Meanie about every 3 months from top to bottom. Then it would go in the garage for 2 days and I would wax the daylights about it. That's why it still looked brand new the day I traded it in. That's also why I bought blah silver. I was burnt out on that amount of care.

That's also why the Subie looks like *** most days. I'm not doing what I did to the Meanie to another car. SPECIALLY a black one.

I claybar once maybe twice a year and wax the crap outta it but I haven't done it this year and I need to actually need to give it to a detailer to have the paint fixed

anyway, the Acura has had 12 yrs of no clay bar.... it's going to be a real job to clean it up

I bet most of that can be buffed out as it sounds like a clearcoat issue. A top detail shop can do wonders

Its also crappy Honda paint... I know a good detailer its just getting the money and wanting to spend the money....

Clay bar wares on your clearcoat and should only be done once a year, twice max. Wax lasts ~60 days. If you claybar every three months, in five years your paint will look extremely worn. An acceptable substitute to this would be to do a good sealant that once or twice a year when claybarring instead of waxing. I see your point with contaminants, but it's too tolling on the paint.

I have become lazy and can't really do anything in my apt. complex.... So I use Wax as you Dry and Quick Detailer.... Gonna try Quick Wax followed by Quick Detailer next time I wash and see what happens...
