Subaru Holds the Line on 2012 Impreza Pricing

Subaru of America just announced pricing for the 2012 Subaru Impreza lineup and we wanted you to be among the first to know.

The well-equipped 4-door Impreza 2.0i Sedan with a five-speed manual transmission starts at only $17,495* — unchanged from 2011 — and the 5-door model is available starting at $17,995. The automatic version, offered exclusively with Subaru's newly designed CVT (continuously variable transmission) starts at $18,495.

The all-new Impreza provides an unbeatable package of performance, safety, refinement and functionality. It also delivers the best fuel economy of any all-wheel drive offering in the market at 36 MPG on the highway**.

Subaru dealers are already taking orders for the 2012 Impreza, which is expected to arrive at dealerships late this fall. Visit subaru.com for updates or contact your Subaru dealer soon.

They are going back to a 2.0 liter?????
yep. reportedly, the car gives better track numbers than the previous car with 30 less hp. 36 mpg highway is pretty strong. For comparison, my WRX claims 25 highway and I have gotten 33 over a couple hundred mile trip (really babying it, 3 over speed limit). If you take the same sort of ratio upwards, the '12 impreza would be easily over 40 mpg highway.

I read the new 1.6L they are building is going to be twin charged for the WRX and STi. Gonna has a supercharger and turbocharger :scratches:

looks like I'm going to spend a couple of days in eastern NC before heading to the dragon. The outer banks are open (for the most part) and the battleship in Wilmington looks cool
