Turbo+ AWD!!!!!

One of the main reasons why I bought a Subaru new, awesome resale value.

Keith, so following me for a weekend really helped you out?? :giggle:
This is way more challenging than the dragon

STI = "grips like a squirrel on amphetamines" - Tanner Foust
I recorded it. Laying in bed not feeling well so I will watch it tomorrow. It does grip but needs better shoes. Seems the stock tires get hard after some miles on them. After a few runs on the dragon I was pushing into corner.

DGM>Smurf

I wanna see it. Jeff is watching it and won't tell me the outcome.

I just can't see myself getting into auto-x, I like an open track much better

I might need a helmet for the drag strip, I think I better invest in one this winter

You don't have a transmission Jeff, and you have a bigger turbo

Yes you are correct but I don't drive like Dawn. Do you really think Dawn will drive like me down there in VB? I'm just saying.

Jeff thinks my driving style will kill my transmission. He never saw how I didn't beat on the Z all the time mostly because I knew that doing so would cost me later on.

You are correct. I've never saw you drive the Z but then what's the point of buying the turbo, protune, supporting mods if you are going to be easy on it? Yes Yes I know.. I'm a hypocrite (spelling). I shouldn't have bought the turbo/supporting mods.. No I will not sell you my turbo. But you will not drive the car as easy as I do (except at the Dragon I did drive it hard)

Slow Day here on 9th...

JoshSTi: I agree! .08 slower than the EVO.. Come on now.. They could have went harder!

What did you think of the launch? I think it was a poor launch..

It seemed like a poor launch. I got a better launch yesterday in the rain with 4 people in the car. They also showed more of the motorcycle than the car. Used a lot of cut scenes to portray more footage. I just didnt like it at all. Seemed they did it a better last year with the EVO. More time went into that episode. Like people have been saying on their blogs and facebook, in order for Top Gear US to succeed they need to use their own ideas and not something that has been washed ashore from over seas.

Like the track you guys run, seems more complicated than what they setup down here.

How's the clutch of yours? :hiding:

Yes I noticed that too! Definitely more of the motorcycle :( I guess Mitsubishi payed more $$ to the show than Subaru did so that's why the EVO episode was better/longer... :/

I've been thinking about what I might need to shave some time off my auto-x times while not jumping too many classes up. Hmmm..... the all seasons I plan to get aren't a step in the right direction  Dare I say, a set of light wheels (or steelies) and a set of Star Specs for the racing. more power would be nice, but that is a class jumping action. From what I can tell, being smooth and fast in the straights and braking late are the keys to Charlie Sheen (winning)

I will say that the tuned and suspension STI folks weren't too keen on a stock WRX smokin' them. I know it was all driver and I'm not very good yet, but still, it felt fantastic. They would come back from their runs and say, I got into the 33's. Here I roll back and say I just got a 31.4 :giggle: The "WTF" look was awesome.

a passenger really throws off the balance you get used to when you are by yourself (ref: video 9 when I killed a cone).

from what some have said about the upcoming tracks for the last 2 events, they will get faster/longer when we get into a lot about double the size of what we just ran. :awesomeness:

$30 for the 7 runs and $2 each for the "fun runs"

Thats not bad prices.

May something with a stiffer sidewall? I noticed alot of people that ran at our AutoX the sidewall would flex so bad it seemed they were running on the rims.
