This is true. Pretty much everything else about the car makes me believe I could deal with the name for the sake of the car. Not sure if I would take this or the P1 though...

Yeah they started adding KERS like systems to many of the supercars nowadays.

• it's really not a "new Enzo," just like the Enzo wasn't a new F50 and the F50 wasn't a new F40. they are all halo cars, but not really direct descendants of their predecessors.
• according to Car & Driver, it's "Not Ferrari LaFerrari, just LaFerrari."
• even if you had $1.2 million in cash, unless you already own an extensive collection of rare Ferraris, you can't buy one. Ferrari will be very discerning on who it sells the car to.

I think if you have an obscene amount of cash you can get it regardless. For example one of the 20 Lambo Reventon was sold to the current Chechnyan president,not a Ferrari car collector, he does have a ton of money though and some influence They make 499 of this one, so it should be even easier to get as long as you have the money. I do have a feeling due to exclusivity paying more than the advertised price is not impossible so it is a matter of how more you're willing to spend. If not a Ferrari collector easily solved buy few more at the same time to become one...

If they decided to turn them around for profit, that was their business, but ferrari was very picky about who they sold the car to.

lamborghini is a different company. their sales practices are different from ferrari.

The Lamborghini rep mentioned how the economy is slow and they face challenges selling and making profit. It is a business so I am sure they care about making money.

You may be right, as far I have seen in life money can buy almost anything material, it is just a matter of how much you're willing to pay.

ferrari even imposes restrictions on journalists who test their cars. for instance, if a magazine requests a test car from ferrari, they will send not just a car, but usually two, with a whole team of engineers and mechanics. one car is designated for straight line testing only, and the other for handling tests. journalists who have refused to play by their rules have even been blacklists, banned for life from testing ferraris. they even go so far as to request customers not allow these journalists to drive cars either. of course, such practices seem questionable, and some journalists have spoken out about it, but do they care? no. people will still buy ferraris regardless.
