they're 18" actuallyyy hahaha and yes he removed front and rear window for the show. Speaker system produced 163dBA LOL!

Yep with ear plugs and hands over my ears and 200ft away while testing and my head still hurt. It shook the park ground like a little earthquake.

That looks like its built for db drags. Most of those vehicles arent drivable anyway. Mostly loaded down with batteries and amplifiers. I remember reading an article about one of the world champions, his van weighed over 10,000 lbs. It's purely about how many decibels it can produce.

Is it just me or does it look like his intake pipe is dented, as if the hood wouldn't close and he has to dent it to make it fit?

Yes, it does look like the top is caved down... still doesn't look like the hood would close.
