Oh just over here lowered on d2 coilovers. -1 camber in the front and currently ordering rear camber arms to rid my -2.8 camber in the rear. You could say its sexy. Here's a few photos
this is before(top) and after(bottom)
this is from import alliance the 27th of oct. All of those are stock minus the blue one next to me, he's on coilovers and is just really low in the rear and not so low in the front, nowhere near as low as I am.
and just a little side shot

I have a question about lowering a sedan Civic. So I under stand that you have two choices basically when lowering a vehicle as an example. First you could get springs and shocks separately and install them. Second or you could buy coil overs because coil overs are basically springs/shocks built together in the same mechanism and is adjustable. What is this strut thing I am hearing about that is needed when lowering the car. I'm just looking to lower the car to get rid of wheel gap. I'm not here to lower my car with bags or hydraulics. Saw that you could do Eibach front and rear springs and then get Koni front and rear shocks (as example). Or you could do something like get Megan Racing or Tein coil overs which would be adjustable and have the spring/shocks built in together. Don't know if that makes any sense what I'm asking or not. But here is a general idea of what I'm looking for:
  • Reduce wheel gap by 1"-2"
  • Still want ground clearance.
  • Don't want comfort of ride to be to race car stiff
  • What is a strut? Is that like a sway bar? (I've heard if you want sway bar for FB6 only get rear not front)
  • If I'm just lowering the car for aesthetics would it even be necessary to get sway bars or no?
  • Not sure if adjustable ride height of coil over would even be useful or not.
  • Would like to keep this under $1K.

The decision is ultimately up to you, everyone has their own preferences. I personally chose to go with H&R sport springs and Koni yellow shocks/struts. For what you're trying to accomplish I would recommend the setup I'm using, or even the Eibach Pro Kit springs. You don't necessarily need to upgrade your shocks/struts when using either of those springs, I just chose to do so. A strut is not a sway bar, they're two entirely different mechanisms. Finally if you want to get the most out of your handling, only upgrade the rear sway bar; increasing the front will only create oversteer. I recommend the rear sway bar as your first suspension mod, you feel the difference instantly.

Strut (pictured on the left):

So is the 'sturt' on the left part of the shocks set? Is the yellow Koni shocks on the right the rear shocks while the 'struts' are the front Koni shocks and H&R springs put together? Also what is this 'sleeve' thing I hear about that you need for the shocks?

If you plan on doing struts/shocks, the strut will have to be fabricated into your existing strut. The company I ordered from did this for me. The picture I posted already has the Koni struts fabricated in, they're hidden behind the dust boot. And yes, struts (minus the springs; I edited my post above) correspond with the front whereas the shocks correspond with the rear.

So if I got coil overs that would by pass the whole 'fabrication' process because they are already built together similar to what you have?
