Felt good today driving my Civic, and had some compliments!

Well as of recently, I went from a CBR600F3 rider, then I crashed... And prior to that I have a fully rebuilt Trans Am Ws6 with a parts list that I can't remember what I did. Myself I love all different kind of cars, I'm not stuck to the V8 world, JDM, Euro, Stance etc. I love many many cars. It's just who I am.

I went to read my buddies computer with my OBDII scanner, and he is a big GM guy owning a 04 GTO, another with a 05 GTO and Rebuilt 450WHP 4G63 Eclipse... I was astonished that I was getting great compliments from the features the Civic had, It being a 6 speed, quiet, the features that comes from the factory being a Honda, the seats, iMid display and everything else.

Made me feel better about owning this car after getting crap from other friends of mine just because I bought this car for being practical for when I go back into Winterland when I'm leaving CA

Sounds like you have some decent people around you who also like cars for cars. Stick with them... less drama, and it's always great to have car enthusiasts around. I think you'll find there are a lot of people here who also fit that bill. They like cars in general.

Ya It's good to see them. I see way way to many people just hate in general. I make a comment here and there, not gonna lie but diversity is what set's people in the car world apart. It makes it much better. If everyone had a Corvette for example or Civic... It would be very boring.

the simple fact is that you cant hate on a civic. its a smart car to buy.

the only civics you can hate on are the 16yr old kids driving 01 civics with more mods than the original list price of the car. like man, just buy a faster car

me and a bunch of my buddies all have civics and hondas in general and we lean to favor the jdm scene but we love all cars. one of our dads is in the process of rebuilding a trans am and we have all come from a variety of cars and all just happened to fall in love with civics. i think this is why ive felt so at home on this forum because it, to me, feels like im just hanging out with the guys and talking cars.
