Just a high temp prim and then a satin black from Home Depot came out great

Yea I always sand down things before painting them. I used 320 grit and just made sure to scratch the surface then prime it then paint it

Nope those are the original headlights!

Just do your current lights. I did my Retros in one day! Was a lot of work me and my friend @T21 did it. Took about 10-13 hours or so

all you really need is a weekend where you dont need to drive anywhere and access to a second car or a friend whos willing to drive you in case you need something

The wife actually said she really likes them and that they are really good. That basically means they are incredible for her to even notice the difference let alone remark at how good they are! hahahah. I do need to get some pics of them.

Are there any plug and play kits for the morimoto h1 lights? Really dont feel like doing a trial by error session to make it work.

What are the 2 wires powering though?

That is a solenoid for people who use them as high beams and low beams. You just leave it disconnected if you're replacing just your low beams with the hids.
