I based my settings on Chris' recommendations too. I run -1.2 front and -0.8 rear. I figure as the rear compresses it gains more camber so it'll end up over -1 when the trunk is full or cornering hard. I set it there to try and minimize tire wear but still get good grip.

After the May dragon run on the new tires I had minimal shoulder wear so I think the settings hold up pretty good to aggressive driving. I also find that the rear likes to rotate and you can feel the slip angle change as you corner. If that makes sense.

How do you like the GTMat you have in the trunk? Does it help a lot with your sound system? I'm curious as I'm getting some decent rattle from my setup and was looking into all the options and dynamat is crazy expensive. Haven't heard much about GTMat so it would be nice to get some feedback. Especially from someone with the same car!!

If I had actually had the time to hook everything back up, I would let you know. I did it for two reasons. 1. Stereo system. 2. To quiet down the exhaust and road noise. Between the FatMat and GTMat, one (or both) of them likes to give off an odor when it gets hot out.

:S like a tar/asphalt smell? Would you say it was strong and lasted or did it only go away once it cooled down. I would be doing it for the same reasons as you. Mostly for audio now but exhaust and road noise once i get parts lined up.

Yeah, tar/asphalt. It's not intolerable by any means and I don't notice it after I air the car out usually. It is just off-gassing. I figure it will stop eventually.

Well that's good. I could deal with that. I just stared a thread in Audio to hopefully get some reviews of different products as I don't necessarily want to spend money on dynamat where I could put it into upgrading my speakers and amp. Or anything else Lol. Let me know when you have a chance to test it out and what you think!

Only thing I can add to this thread is that I also agree those stock Mxm4's or whatever they were, are by far the worst Michelin tire I have ever used

I will be getting some Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the Spring. Gotta determine wheels first, though.

If you run over to TireRack's "One Lap of America" coverage it's easy to see who's using PSS and who's not. Although i didn't do the math, the winners seemed to be using PSS at least 80% of the time. Amazing.

Elsewhere on the site, their testing strongly suggests no difference in PSS performance between the stock 17" or the larger 18". That's significant too because the 18's are $100 more per tire.

While the 18's might be better looking (at least i think so) that's all you're getting... looks. The way I go through tires that EXTRA $400 just wasn't worth it. That said, the current PSS price (about $150, and recently reduced by Michelin) is a ridiculously good deal.

Oh, and don't even think about buying them any place but Costco or a place that honors the pro-rated warranty to the letter. I traded my first set in at 23,000 (Costco refused to rotate the tires with only 2/32 remaining) so they gave me a generous credit. I didn't have to negotiate... that's the Costco policy. So the new ones (after credit) cost just $100/tire.

I mean really... what's not to like?

I had already planned on going with 17s. Don't want to sacrifice any more ride quality than necessary just for a shorter sidewall. Plus, wheels will weigh and cost more.

235/40. Do it. 17x8 or 17x8.5 , something nice and light and forged..... honestly a 40 series is not that rough. My wife has 40 series on her 18's and she is definitely one to complain if the ride was worse.

17x8 is the plan, 8.5 if it will fit with no issues depending on offset. Forged would be nice...really depends on the price though. Not interested in spending $2k on wheels.

I bought the TSX wheels for $120 and General Arctics/ Mods wheels for $200. Its not a bad deal but I still need to work on those Modas so I can sell them. Lol.

I imagine I will be able to find someone trying to sell wheels scrounging for xmas money. Biggest problem is most of what I am finding is for jacked trucks or lifted ghetto-mobiles.

Same here, all I'm finding is 22" chrome wheels or stock wheels off of an old truck.
The only decent wheels I can find are in the Wisconsin area.
