I know there's supposed to be no motors, but This should spark some interest.

I'll go grab pictures of my cheapo department store mountain bike later. Not anything like the rest of the bikes in this thread, but then again there arent exactly any mountains to ride on in Delaware.

Edit: finally dug out the regular bikes in the basement.

We have a lot loose rocks and crap where I ride, I noticed that my front tire is always throwing stuff into my face. I took the idea and design of the mucky nuts front fork fender and made my own. Came out good I think, while not being an eye sore on the bike.
Opinions on how it looks? It performs well. But I don't want to add anything tacky looking to such a nice looking bike.

If you ride a lot of DH/AM stuff it makes sense. The light XC I do, I just use a regular helmet. I try not to think about "what if" when grazing trees at 20mph.

Fender looks good and functional. I figure taking rocks to the shins is just part of riding. I've never had one come up high enough to hit my face though.

I do wear a full face anytime I ride anything "lift" assisted. DH runs always have the potential for a ride ending minor crash if not worse. Full gear and full face helmets only as far as I'm concerned. Id hate to have driven 4+ hours somewhere to pay money to ride and then have my session ended by slipping a pedal and getting nailed in the kneecap or thigh by a rock. Let alone taking a tumble in a rock garden.

I'm heading out tomorrow to French creek state park( pa)
Lots of rock gardens and lots great technical climbs and dh!!
I'll be geared up tomorrow.. Knee guards ..elbows..shoulder.. Gloves and helmet.. I went down pretty hard my first ride on the pivot.. I only had helmet and gloves .lol
Got pretty scuffed up. I admit I was excited with the new bike and the amazing handling and got lost in the moment. I was going way to fast!!

I'm thinking I'll be getting some gear over the winter. Full face, and knee, leg protection. With this bike I'm really pushing these downhills at a way faster speed than ever. It just soaks everything up. I need better protection.

I always thought it was funny to see guys at the DH bike parks running a full face helmet, gloves, and a LEATT neck brace but nothing else. They loved to make fun of my full Dainese suit but eh, Im way more likely to land on my back and hurt my spine on a rock than break my neck.

Cambria bike usually has some good gear deals in the winter I've found. I haven't looked at Jenson in a long time.

Speaking of needing more protection....
Went over the bars today in a nice little technical section of rocks. Slower speed, but still bangged myself up pretty good, haha. Elbows soar as hell.
Surpisingly, only bike damage was a scratch on the brake lever clamp.

Anyone running carbon headset spacers? Mine came with them and I think they are a reason for my front end creak I've been getting. And after my tumble, it got a bit worse and they are definitely a little looser, so I'm going to try a good set of aluminum ones. Any recs?

I've seen some reviews of carbon ones, indeed causing some noise issues.
