Hi all, decided to make a new build thread as the old one would be very disorganized. Anyway, I don't know if any of you follow me on Facebook or instagram but as you might know I had a KW supercharged fg4.

Sad to say, but the kit is off and the car is back to stock.

Not to worry though, I am chasing big power and the car is getting ready for some changes in order to be prepared for upcoming roll racing events at the poconos.

So far all the parts for the block and majority of the turbo goodies have been ordered. The block was sent out to CNC Werx where it's getting its Cylinder Support System done two weeks ago and I am anticipating on getting it back next week. Then it's hitting the local machine shop where it will be overbored, decked, and honed making it ready for assembly.

Will be adding more pictures as the build progresses.

Build specs motor:
CNC_Werx Cylinder Support System
87.5mm bore (.5mm overbore)
K20a2 Oil Pump
Stock crank
ACL bearings
Manley Turbo Tuff I-Beam Rods
Wiseco 10.2:1cr Pistons
Upgraded .225 wall Wrist Pins
Oem Headgasket
Custom ARP Head Studs
Supertech Valves
Supertech Springs/Retainers
Supertech Seals
Oem Cams
Block is built and assembled by Derek Robinson at IMW in Carlisle, PA

Build specs trans:
MFactory 1-4th gearset with custom main shaft and Carbon synchros
Comp Twin Disk Clutch

Build specs turbo
Precision 6262 .82AR
Tial 50mm BOV
Tial 44mm wastegate
Treadstone 740hp intercooler
2.5in charge piping
Makspeed custom fabbed sidewinder manifold (first ever k24z7 with a legit sidewinder setup)
Hood exit exhaust/dumptube

Build specs fueling:
Walbro 450 fuel pump
-8an feed
-6an return
AEM fuel pressure regulator
DW 2000cc injectors

Still have many many parts to order so I will be posting pics and updating the thread as they come

Spare block

Getting the KW off the car

Blah it's all stock

Getting ready to drop the block off to get the cylinder support system installed and have it bored and assembled

Got an RBC manifold that is port matched and ZDX TB. I will be cutting the coolant port off once I find the time

Some parts are rolling in.

Full supertech head package

Teaser shot of turbo placement and manifold

Very cool man! Good luck with your build. I think there is a rare RRC IM for sale on an 8th forum at the moment. I can't remember off the top of my head if the RRC is better on the turbo than the RBC. I could be wrong but I thought in order of power gains for the IM: Most to least

ported RRC > ported RBC > RRC > RBC

I know HPD racing locked down sales of the RRC IM a year or two ago for some reason. It was the IM that came on the FD2 Type-R.

The PRC is rare and makes slightly more power indeed, but I have a ported RBC going on. So Id a little too late to scoop the other one

Yea, it doesn't look like you'll be hurting for a little extra power with that list. hahaha.

I'm honestly very curious to see what the sidewinder manifold will do as far powerband and delivery over the standart manifolds

@ripply - Since you closed your other thread (and I don't want to search through all those pages) can you post a few exterior (full) pictures of your car? :) Thanks

I did buy the full ACL bearing kit, but depending how tight the clearances are I might have to order the different colored bearings from honda
If my understanding is correct the race bearings are designed to be looser than the stock bearings to allow the running of thicker race oil. I actually had a set in my D series build. I think I actually got a defective set because they only lasted about 6 months before I had to replace them because the layers delaminated and were leaving deposits in my oil pan. went back to a Std. size set and havent had any issues yet. Just some food for thought.
