Being local to PRL Motorsports I was able to go to their shop and pickup my cold air intake directly from them. I am the first with this "new" setup.

I was told that they recently changed their supplier for their air filters and that the new one is about 1/2 inch smaller on the closed end which makes for more filter area. The new filters are basically the same but they do have the PRL logo on them.

They also changed the breather filter which is smaller diameter so it no longer hits the bracket. They said that a lot of customers wouldn't bend the bracket out of the way and cause the filter to pop off. They would end up cranking down so tight to keep it on, that it would end up breaking the filter and need replaced. They too have their PRL logo on them.

The new filters, I honestly don't think will make any difference in performance, but it does give it a completed look with all of the parts having the same labeling.

The smaller breather filter does look like it will be cleaner looking installed under the hood.

It fits right in there and has clearance with out moving the bracket, almost like it was meant to go there. I'll try to get a pic of it installed up soon.

It's a nice thing they came with a new breather filter. The steel clamp melted and cracked the vibrant one after a few months on my car....
Maybe that's the extra whoosh I've been hearing, lol. I'll have to check this weekend.
