anytime you're at invoice, you're at the limit. Others said there are no incentives to dealerships to sell civics. So, they have to make something on the deal. A couple hundred dollars over cost is nothing. They'll make money on financing (if you're financing the car), or trading a car in... other than that - I'd say you're good on that price.

  • I put in the zip code 95138 into edmunds - just looked up a random zip code for San Jose, and looked to see what others are paying for civics near you.
$19,262

It's claiming an invoice of $17,955 with destination fees
and that people are BUYING the car in San Jose for an average of $19,262

Also, I was wondering if they try to offer me extended warranties should I buy any?

I bought an extended warranty on my prius 2011 7 year / 125k Mileage for an extra $2125. I got that cause it has a lot electric components. I was scared if something went wrong it would cost a lot.

But for the honda, would an extended warranty by necessary?
Thanks!

oh sorry btw my numbers dont include tax those are the sales prices u pay tax based on the county you live in urs is 8.25% i believe. The reason i say its a good price is because 19280 otd is selling you the car for 17,550 plus ur tax thats crazy so make sure its legit im at 17800 which is 19551 otd u choose lol but im serious :)
splash guards look nice and somewhat work well ive had them b4, door guards are ok if there the thin clear ones the bulky thick ones i dont like but whatever. door visor if you like the windows down in the rain i dont ever get them i just roll the window down any way a lil water never hurt anyone except fit owners that had the recall for that water getting into the power switch and causing a fire possibly lol. fog lights i have them always on when my headlights are on but do they help me see better nope just look cool. body side molding i think is pointless a ding is a ding no matter where it is.

everyone has a different opinion on extended warranties. There are people who have run 300k+ miles without anything major happening. Others like the peace of mind knowing they will have no out of pocket expenses if anything should come up. I've never purchased the extended warranties myself. Out of 180k+ miles on various hondas I've owned... I've had a compresser an an air conditioner go. That's been my only expense out of pocket

2012 HONDA CIVIC SEDAN LX AUTOMATIC

18,000 OTD including TTL

Is that a good deal?
Welcome to the site.

The previous person was looking for the same car -

invoice is 18k without any tax. If you have that offer, and it doesn't change when you're signing paperwork... that's a steal

yea, dealer won't budge on price when I spoke with them. It's my second honda from that dealer so I'm hoping to at least snag some free wheel locks or some sort of goodie.
