Ford unveiled the 2013 Fusion with an all new design seen below

It is this new styling direction that has sparked talk about the next generation Ford Mustang following the Fusion. At a recent auto show, Ford unveiled the Evos concept car shown below in red. Word from those working on the project claim the new Mustang will be a dead ringer for the Evos.

Ford's decision to step away from the current retro Mustang style is founded in attempts to attract a larger group of Generation Y buyers- people born between 1980 and 1999. It is slated to be a 2014 vehicle, but suspected to be labeled a 2015.

yeah, I would say the door features and whatnot would not make production. The glass roof would probably be altered to some extent as well. Seems like a ton of glass. The look of the exhaust and wheels/wheel gap will change. Otherwise, I don't see it as a car that couldn't be put into production.

I'll be shocked if it looks even 50% like the concept. Probably won't be near as wide, the interior will look nothing like this, the wheels won't be anything as big or as nice, and the front and back ends might have a passing resemblance.
Call me cynical, but it's just what I'm used to seeing. With the exception of the doors, I think it looks like a great improvement because it's so different, but I never see Ford or GMC ever take a bold step beyond the concept.
For comparison, just look at Honda. Their concepts aren't that different from production.
For another comparison, just look at the Chevy Volt. It looks nothing like the concept.
Now the Ford Fusion and this Mustang concept do have resemblances, so I can always be proven wrong....I guess I'm just butt-hurt from being disappointed so often.

what about the way the fusion looks in white - 1st post?

Vehicles will have smoother lines and smaller engines with turbos or diesel engines needed to meet mpg requirements

As for the mustang look, 2 generations ago look barely like they do now. ...just like the civic has changed
