18x9.5 +43 :/ there my boys wheels though , offset I believe messed up the poke

Sent from Flyy Network.

That offset would be perfectly flush/very slightly poked with a more function oriented alignment, but with a lot of negative camber for style purposes, you're right it's not the right offset. Wheels still look super nice though.

yeah I loved it maybe with a 235 tire or 225 it would of been flushed

I guess I'm the only one here that doesn't like poke. I think the wheel setup is perfect. Maybe a 225 or 235 if it didn't rub

215/40s would work fine, that what i have on mine, and im running 17x9 wheels, gives you a small stretch on your size.. try tyrestretch.com

great thanks! some of my friends told me 225/45 but i felt that would be to thick of a tire but I've seen how 215/40's look and they look good..i like a little stretch but nothing crazy

Why wouldn't you go with at least the factory tire size? If they were my wheels, it'd be 215/45s or 225/45s.

215/40 is not the best tire size for that width of a wheel. It's good if you want to slam the **** out of your car because of the smaller and stretched sidewall. However, if you are concerned with ride comfort and quality, you will be very disappointed with that tire size. 225/45 would be a good size tire for that width wheel, but it will be a taller tire and therefor throw off your speedometer. It will, however, improve ride quality and road noise (depending on the quality of the tires you get, obviously) while decreasing handling performance because of the bigger sidewall height. The 10mm of "extra tread width" is negligible as far as grip goes. 235/40's would be pretty wide, but they would have a smaller sidewall than the factory size tire and there is a very limited selection of tires in that size. You would also need to run an excessive amount of negative camber for a daily driver with tires that size, but that doesn't seem to be too much of a problem around this forum. I don't know about you, but the loud noise caused from tire cupping REALLY bothers me, especially on a brand new car. If you run directional tires (which, you will have to if you go with 235/40's, because that's all there is really in that size) with a lot of negative camber, the tires WILL cup and they WILL make an obscene amount of road noise. If that doesn't bother you, then you would most likely be impressed with the cornering grip. I have the stock tires on my WedsSport TC105N's which are very similar in fitment to your Volk's (mine being 17x8.5 +32) and I absolutely love the way it drives. I haven't been able to lower it yet because there are no ******* coilovers out yet and the D2's are on backorder (the retailer I bought them from the second time has promised they'll be to me the beginning of the last week of this month...I don't believe him though. Also, I talked to BC and they haven't even had final approval of the mass production and that takes between 60 and 90 days, so "next month" is probably not a very accurate time frame for when they'll be available. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of both of us, cause as I said before, I doubt I'll be receiving my D2's when they were promised and I'll likely be getting a refund and getting the BC's if they do indeed get released next month) but when I do get it lowered, I believe I'll be able to run the factory alignment settings going by just my eyeball assessment of where the wheels sit in relation to the fenders and quarter panels. My advice to you would be, stick with the stock tires and mount them on your new wheels. Wait until you lower it and THEN make a decision on whether or not to get different tires. That's what I settled on doing and I'm glad I did. The stock tires feel a million times better on these lighter, wider wheels. The slight stretch in the side wall has really tightened up these tires and the lighter wheels has improved every aspect of the responsiveness of the car.

yeah i think I'm going to go with 215/45 cause i want that slight stretch in the tire and this is my daily and i wasn't planning on being slammed (maybe for meets but thats about it) i emailed BC on May 29, and they told me "Expect kits to be in stock and ready to ship in roughly 30-45 days." I'm hoping this is true

I'm running 17x9+22 and 235/40 all around with roll fenders and a bit of negative camber...looks decent, drives good.

im having no complaints in my 215/40s, guess its all about what you want to do, either slam it, stance it, or auto-x your car...but if your going for a slight drop then 215/45 will give you a nice meaty look...
