I would love to have an M5 as a DD, but would never consider it a "sports car", which is where I believe a manual transmission should always belong.

Still working on my wife to learn how to drive the stick... On a side note, my 13 year old will be required to drive a manual when she is driving age...that also goes for her two sisters, if there is such thing as a manual when they are driving age...

I did exactly that when my daughter was learning how to drive. She was not pleased about it when it was happening, but a year later she thanked me for it when she realized she had a skill many others didn't. Especially when she had something she could do that most boys couldn't do.

I will seek vehicles with manual transmissions out until I can no longer use my left leg. There is a much more intimate connection with the machine this way... rather than just stop and go pedals.
