I want to change the 12V power supply in the front of my '13 4-dr Si to constant power instead of the factory key-switched power. I've done this before in other cars, but have always run a new wire from the fuse box to the 12V power supply and used the existing ground wire.
I have a new idea...
Got mine for $20,444 before tax, tag, title at Hennesey Honda in Woodstock, GA. Prices always range depending on the location where you live and the demand. I always use the True Market Value on Edmunds.com to gauge how good of a "deal" I'm getting.
This is probably more for me but I don't like things sliding around in the trunk, and I often need a good flashlight at night. I bought some Maglite mounting clips and installed them into the decklid. There's a brace about 1 1/2" from the actual decklid that I drilled pilot holes into, then...
I wanted to look closer at the idea of enclosing the factory sub from underneath. The cross bars don't really move too much near the sub, so I don't think it's going to be a problem. Here's a quick video to show the movement:
Reading through this thread and I'm having the same problem with the factory sub. I like the idea of sealing the factory sub; has anyone heard of someone removing the trunk crossbars and replacing them with gas struts?
Just wanted to provide an update; I ordered a Gentex model genk40/41 mirror with Homelink and auto dim. Installation was rather easy; I removed the map light lens covers and then removed the 2 bolts that allowed the entire map light assembly to be lowered. I then found a constant power lead...
Thanks; I've done this before in past vehicles but, to me, it still doesn't seem as OEM as I'd like. I just switched it back to the blank today and hard-wired the LED's in with a fuse that is only powered on with the ignition (fuse hole #23). I really don't mind them staying on so I may just...
I've found similar buttons on the hybrid model (LDW and Traction Control) but haven't been able to confirm it's the same size opening yet. I'll stop by a dealership soon and look at one.
So I ordered the 5 pin push button accessory / fog light switch mentioned in another thread here (part # 08E10-TAO-1M035) and got the wiring harness from another member. Took the blank out of the dash that the switch would fit in, and it does "technically" fit, but will not "click" into place...
One of the things I miss from my TL that isn't in my Civic is the Homelink buttons for the garage door, and I have to admit not having an auto-dim mirror is a little annoying.
I'm seeing some Gentex mirrors online for reasonable prices and I'd assume this is a pretty basic install; could...
Has anyone found the part number or an online store where you can order the green plugs that fit the 5-pin switch? I don't have any salvage yards near me and would prefer to just have some shipped to me. Thanks!
Probably will end up doing that, just wondered if anyone has run across some custom buttons that look OEM. I've seen them before for other cars; will fit OEM spot but have different types (on/off, momentary) and different icons on them. Just helps if you're going to be putting in 2-3 beside...
Probably starting with basics (window tint, hardwired radar detector, maybe an aftermarket amp/sub) and go from there. Maybe CAI; I dunno.
I'm thinking of adding some red interior lights and will probably just end up doing it myself w/ flexible LED strips instead of going OEM; why the hell...
