Just my input.. At one point I had an injen cold air intake, skunk 2 "header" and invidia q300 exhaust on mine aldrove around without a tune for a while.. I didnt know any better... But the car drove fine.. It was definetly louder and no problems
Basically i took it to a dyno shop during the middle of my tuning with vit because i wanted someone to physically look at it.. This guy just kept some of the changes vit already made, didnt touch certain parameters.. It was fast but not safe..
I showed it to vit and he knew who tuned it just by...
Yea.. Its cool.. You can compare the first datalogs with the recent ones and see how he gets the injectors and map pressure to go at the same curve.. Im still learning too.. Its the best way.. A dyno shop you drive off not knowing what he did at all
Exactly.. There is no way that a dyno shop can put your car on a dyno for 30 minutes and you drive away with a good tune.. Theres just too much to be adjusted.. With vit it takes time but you learn and he touches on everything in flashpro..
Yea.. Im glad i went for a second opinion.. Because who knows, a year or two driving on this tune may have destroyed a brand new toy which im still paying for
Absolutley.. I used vit at first but im new to this and i wanted to dyno it so someone can physically see and hear the car.. You know, its a brand new car and i want whats best..
But i like vit because as you datalog you learn..you see the differnces and he explains to you.. Where as a dyno shop...
The car ran fast and felt nice from what i can see.. But somethings i didnt feel good about. but he basically used what vit had already put in my ecu and didnt change it.. He changed other things that werent really safe.. And he didnt even touch on certain parameters.. Basically a half ***...
Talked to vit today... Thank god i did... Seems like i got a week attempt at a tune from my tuner... Lazy? or not experienced with our cars?? I dont know.. The guy is widley known... But I feel confident that vit is the best man for the job when working on our cars.. Where as other tuners work...
It was about a 10 minute data log.. I see them on other logs as well..i was driving light and hard on this log.i wanted to study what sensors work and when..so kncock is a common thing?? I would think it beats on your engine .. Good info .. Thanks.. It also worries me because the car sounds...
In a little afraid to go to the track next week under these conditions.. Someimes the car sounds a little rough at idle.. Sloppy.. So im just concerned.. My tuner is highly reputable.. I wont say his name but im sure you heard of him vit...
Vit if your are interested in taking a look, i would...
I will do more logs at high then low speeds to see when they happen.. However i would like a second opinion.. Ofcourse ill pay... Also my emissions check light comes on and off.. I noticed it went off when i took off and tightened the gas cap back on.. This is what the civics manual said. Does...
Well i datalog it and when i go to tead the recording, the knock counts are already there.. Before i even start driving..
I just got off the phone with my tuner, he said he set the egnition limit to be a little sensitive for safety..
