CASE & INSTRUCTION BOOK:

Instructions seems to be wrong. For 2014-2015 that USB in the glove box does nothing, it's not even connected to the unit, we must use the USB in the armrest. Another QC issue, WOW ;/





Here's a rip of the data on the USB if anyone can figure out how to override it asking for the code before flashing. 7.32GB You'll need to download all 1 to 38 parts then extract to a usb, I use winrar.

Useless people running the show over there! this is the second time in the last 2 years on 2 of my Civic Si’s that the activation code does not work.

So I paid for the faster shipping to have this update here and useable for this weekend all for nothing! Heads need to roll and someone needs firing for this bullshit already.

Get me a working activation code in a timely manner or RMA-refund this crap, GET IT TOGETHER "HERE MAPS".

UPDATE: 4/20/2015

I called in today to see if there's away to regenerating a new activation code. The person said I'm able to do it right on the page so I kept them on the phone while trying to figure where on their page with no luck. There's nothing of the sort. They also said they do not provide support. LOL They will sell it to you, and then if there's an issue they say we can't help. LOL this didn't work right out of the box, so am I SOL!?!?!

I called back and a person by the name of Sarah was willing to help, .... sorta by giving me the general email address and and telling me to put ATTEN: to her with a screenshot of my navi to rule out if i made a typo, and then to escalate it.

Now I have to wait, this is the same thing that happened with my 2012


UPDATE: 4/30/2015

Called in a few times since the last update and got an approval for a refund as a backup plan, finally at least they are willing to issue me a refund but will not reimburse the shipping amounts. Or I can keep waiting till the call center hears back from the programming department on an update of generating a working activation code. LOL
I also told them hey even your instructions in the book are wrong! that usb in the glove box is not even connected and thus not used. on 2014-15 we must use the armrest input!


UPDATE: 5/06/2015

Called in today to see if there has been any updates to my case. CSR said nothing new on fill, asked if I wanted to do a refund I said no I'll keep waiting cuz I really wanted this update done. Then placed on hold for some time then he came back to say they sent off another escalation ticket and have a good day.

Called in again, same results, still waiting

They finally gave me a working code after I called in today to see if there's any news. We went through 3 more codes before he gave one that worked. see attached





Code that worked for me after many failed attempts by HERE. Wonder if they have a master code that works on all?

it is and it isn't -> it a company Honda sources to build, maintain there maps called HERE, they are big, apple is trying to seek in with the OS "Carplay" which I hope they do. Hopefully the competition will smarten HERE up with QC

Yep. I spent some time on the phone with Honda Canada about this. It comes from the same place and are the same maps. I never did update mine but my plan was to ship to a U.S. address just across the border about 45 mins away. I'm thinking that's the same thing that Pete did as well.

I have been using https://www.kinek.com/ for all my needs like this for years now, that is if you have a passport ;) check it out, anything under $200 per person is duty free. it's only a 30-45 mins drive for me on the 416, easy nice drive

someone over on the other form is trying to crack this so it will not ask for an activation code. LOL hope he pulls it off, i will be testing it out when he's ready.

Are you serious:confuzzled: I was so happy when I got my '14 and realized that you don't have to hit "OK" every time you start your car.

I have a 2012 SI and did the 2016 yellow update that is currently $99 + free shipping, and the OK button automatically skips to the map after 5 seconds.
I had to use the USB port that is hidden up behind the glove box. The one in the center console didn't work for me.
