Adding more cushioning to door arm rest?

Was wondering if it was possible to open up this so I can add some cotton to make it a tad more comfy

Just to be clear I'm referring to the lower door armrest not the vertical padding, I find that when I'm driving the door armrest is quite hard and uncomfortable, need to get under the fabric to add more cushioning.

@Nomar06 has had the panel off. I don't know if adding cushioning would cause you to need new fabric on that section?

Hmmm hopefully not, I don't know how they insert the fabric into the plastic, but I imagine the fabric just comes off completely, or at least I hope.

Adding more material to that would just stiffen it up more. The fabric isn't stretchy at all and its pretty tight to the plastic underneath.

If you want more cushion to it, your going to have to redo the entire thing. Make it a bit bigger to add more material to cushion your arm.
