What does it really do. From the looks of things i think it's like a Relay or GFCI type module.. here's what manufacturer says about it...

So capacitors store a charge and will hold it depending on their voltage rating...

this guys seems to think the following...

The only possible benefit could be a longer reserve capacity.Meaning you can leave you lights and stereo on longer with less battery drain.

seems like a waste of like $100 to me lol

I doubt that there is much in that box at all... the only real voltage stabilizer I know of is Jacobs Accu-volt, but it has been discontinued. It used an automatic switched multiple tap auto transformer to keep the voltage stable, plus capacitors on the output side, and would output up to 16.25 volts ( user set ) from an input as low as 9.5 volts.
