Okay so I have a 15 inch Kicker in a ported box that is huge. It almost will go into the trunk of my 2013 Si sedan but it is 1 or 2 inches from going in. Is there any way i can take some of the trunk apart to temporarily widen the opening? Any help is greatly appreciated , Thanks! :confuzzled:

Can you post pics of the box in the trunk so we can see where it hits?

Maybe it can go in a certain way and be rotated/rolled into a different position?

First thing I'd try is take the cover off the spare tire and if you have to take the spare out to see if that's enough room to get it in. It's probably gonna be hard to put that stuff back in afterwards but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! however the problem which i kinda failed at describing, is that I can not get the box to fit in the trunk from the opening. It seems as if it would fit once actually inside the trunk as it gets bigger (as in the actual trunk space is bigger than the entrance to the trunk it seems) but its around 18 inches tall and wide so when trying to put it in through the open trunk either the top or bottom is 1-2 inches to big no matter which way I angle it. I can try to get some pictures in the morning.

I also thought that maybe it would fit through the back seats but with the seats folded down it seems the opening is only ~15 or 16 inches tall

Would the opening from the front(rear seats) be a bigger or smaller opening?

The rear seats opening seems to be smaller, and KennyGS that may be what I have to do, idk why i didnt think of that ,

so unless any other way turns up I may disassemble and install or go to a smaller sub. decisions decisons  The smaller sub may be much more practical haha

I don't think it would to too terrible to build it in the trunk, actually might be a fun little task.

alright guys got an update. So i got the box in the car. A little tip for anyone that may run into this problem in the future.

unfortunately I dont have pictures but what I did to get the box in the car was to remove the rubber strip at the bottom of the trunk opening and pop the plastic pieces off in order to remove the trunk latch hook and that gave me enough clearance to fit the sub into the car.
