Hello, I'm new to this forum. I just got a 14 EX last week and I was able to connect my iPhone 5 to the car's new touch screen audio system via bluetooth. And hands free call works very well.

BUT one problem I found was when I use Google Maps app on my iPhone, the Turn-by-turn directions does not go to the car speakers, If i am playing music from Radio/USB. It would only go through the car's speakers if I select the audio source as bluetooth. Is there anyway that I can listen to FM/AM radio AND get turn by turn via bluetooth.

For example, In my 2012 Prius, I can play AM/FM radio and have my iphone hooked up via bluetooth and the Turn-by-turn directions fade in dominating the music, then fades back out.

Ohh bummer... So does the bluetooth work with the 12-13s?

Update I found a work around.
So apparently if you select your source as FM/AM/CD/USB/whatever you got, the car ignores whatever else thats coming in. So as the directions are moving through bluetooth the systems ignores it and keeps playing you FM/AM/CD etc..

This workaround only works through apple maps. After you set the Directions on in Apple Maps and as the voice guidance starts, tap the screen once, and there will be a bunch of setting icons pop up. Tap the bottom right speaker icon. Select HFP. What it does is that you can play FM/AM/CD/what have you and the directions "disguises" itself as a call. I tried it and it "disguises" itself as a call from my iPhone's number. So a message will pop up saying "incoming call from 123-456-7890"

I didn't find an option for that in Google Maps, but maybe I missed it.
