Alright, so Ive been a lurker for a short time now, posting here and there, (9thcivic and 9thgencivic) all while waiting for my car to arrive. Some of you may know me from 8thcivic.com, where Ive been a contributing member for a few years now. As i get older, my needs in a vehicle change, and so a new car will be entering my garage. Im keeping my 2008 Galaxy Grey Civic EX Coupe, but also adding a 2012 Taffeta White Si Sedan to the garage. The wait has been a long one, but I am going down tomorrow to pick it up. I will be using this thread as a "build" thread, constantly updating and modding the car. I have no "crazy" plans for the future, no turbos, or any "hellaflush" stance plans, moreso just improving on the OEM styling, while increasing performance.

Already have all season rubber mats, trunk tray, OEM JDM emblems, steering wheel emblem, jdm keyfob, LED bulbs for accessories and license plate, 2500k Nokya DRL bulbs, 6000K HIDs for lows and possibly fogs, TWM M1 Abrams matte black shift knob, Broadway convex mirror, and a bunch of other stuff.

Thanks alot guys. I just went through my first tank of gas, and filled her up. Finding it really tough from staying out of the 4500+ RPM range, but managing.

Heres a bit of info too

i have swapped all the interior map lights and dome lights to small 3 led ones, and it was a cinch. I also switched the rear indicator bulbs into chrome ones, so they flash orange, but they are silver when off. it improves the orange-y look from the housing when they are off.

I also put in my Nokya DRLs, and am very impressed with the light output from all the front lights so far. They were easier to do than the previous generation, you just need to be able to work in a small space. the driver side is a bit tighter than the passenger.

I also installed a new T1R Rad Cap, Oil Cap, and Reservoir sleeves.

Ill be doing the emblem install shortly, just waiting on them, and the temperature to get a bit better, as my garage isnt heated.

Good luck with that. I probably drove my 06 Si (RIP) more conservatively than any other Si owner on the planet. I loved that car. It was nothing amazing, just a simple bolt on affair. After buying NitrousG35's Si as a replacement I find myself at the gas pump quite frequently. It's a way more entertaining car though. :D

I love both your cars. Especially the white Type R wheels. :canada::thumb:

The Si needs a drop though. Somebody was going to say it. :giggle:

Congrats on the pick up. I'm sure it'll be just as clean as your 8th. Both great examples of looking after a car.

Thanks guys! And yes, the new one will be dropped in the spring. Already looking at options with a local shop, probable have mine as a "demo" car for alot of their products.

Today I got a few more modifications installed:

J's Racing Authentic/OEM JDM Steering Wheel Emblem (Red)
OEM Civic Type R (EP3) Front Emblem (Red)
OEM Civic Type R (FD2) Rear Emblem (Red)
OEM Civic Type R (FD2) Key Fob (Red)
Luminics 9006 "Ultra White" low beams (5000k)

Probably going to be ordering a custom "shorter" shift boot to go with the TWM M1 Abrams knob since it sits so much lower. Im probably going to go with a material similar to the bride, that matches well with the new style seat material. Ill still use the OEM boot ring/collar, should look pretty clean.

What's the difference between the J's Racing and the OEM steering wheel emblem?
