never while climbing, little tape around the finger but i rarely do that either, I opted not to go tonight cause i figured it would have ripped open again. I wasnt expecting to rip it open just cooking dinner and then again taking out the trash

may sound crazy but cut the flap of skin off. Take superglue and literally fill the entire area with the glue. It will feel somewhat odd in that area, but it will literally act like a new layer of skin. It will also last there for a while, and protects the deep skin from germs/bacteria/crap getting in there.

i ripped the skin off and kept it in a bandaid with neosporin for a few days
