Wow, that sucks that happened to your car man. I think you are outta luck though.

Just my observations from the pics:

Where the threaded bolt is bent, it is out past the body of the jack. It would have bent inside the frame if the force was too great for it, or faulty, not past the point where the threads of the bolt were extending the jack. Worst case of the bolt bending there past the frame is the car would have been stuck in the air. The bend looks to be perfectly in line with the pic of it being crushed into the ground by the car, hence the car fell and bent the jack.

Also, from how far the bolt is through the jack, you had that thing up pretty high. If you see the pic 2fast posted the jack is hardly extended at all and the wheel is off the ground already. I would consider that as you raise the car from one point it tilts away from you and the jack being extended that far probably lost its contact on the pinch weld as the car tilted so much. Those jacks are really just to lift the car enough to be able to pull a tire off and change it on the side of the road.

I know your car is low so possibly having to lift it enough to extend and then raise the car with the suspension may have had a part in it also.

I could be wrong but that's just my thoughts from looking at the pics. Really sucks and hopefully the dealership and Honda may be able to help you out.

I did this to my Accord before I wrecked it. Worst feeling ever.

Like you said, oem lifts are sketchy. I can go further and say they are poorly engineered for universal use. This is actually really common accident with scissor jacks. They are engineered for predetermined cars at raised at specific heights. Meaning if your car is lowered, you highly increase the chance for it to fall over/bend. Just fyi for everyone in the future. In your case, its happen and done for, the bad news is the chance is extremely low for the dealership to cover it but theres a chance none of the less. The good news is, insurance can cover this under comprehensive accidents that usually doesnt raise your cost and usually low on deductible but Im not sure what you have. Good luck buddy.

thanks for all the input guys! it sucks just knowing that its there but i guess im gonna have to live with it i will take it to honda tomorrow i have nothing to loose...and will let you guys know what happens
