How about you?
Bleh, we've got a Ricoh Copier replacement happening next week. Gonna have a team of 4 or us setting up and configuring all the new machines. I think it's supposed to be like 30 machines or so.

Training some folks from another department today, so I can't goof off ...as much.
summit county ^ in colorado. If you visit, you want to be west of denver into the mountains of summit county to see views like that. Everything east of denver is nothing like that pic. It's essentially all flat/nothing.Damn! I want to visit Colorado (when it's warmer)

nah, I've just spent a lot of time in colorado over the years. It's one of my fav states to drive through for scenery@webby are you from Colorado????
Replaced the fuser on the HP LaserJet M506 and no more fuser error message but when trying to print test pages they would get stuck under the cartridge area by the transfer roller. After removing/replacing the transfer roller the problem still was occurring. It ended up being the cartridge that was causing the jams... Thanks re-manufactured cartridges. I borrowed a known working cartridge from another M506 in the office and it worked without issue. Put the bad cartridge in the other M506 in the office and it did the same thing. So I talked to the staff that has/ordered cartridges and she provided me a new one and that worked fine. She will contact the company she orders them from to get it swapped out.
I hate printers!
Wait... You you need 4 people to touch 30 machines?
I hate printers too. Glad we don't really have to support them. It's time for them to be updated per the vendor contract, and the setup is one part that we're actually on the hook for. Setup takes about 40 mins per machine according to management who's done a few to pilot the process. So there are going to be 4 of us that take care of it over 3 or 4 days. At least we just have to remote into them to do the set up. I definitely would NOT have volunteered if we had to physically stand at the MFP. Screw that.
Ha. Same besides the Canon stuff. They're all Ricoh. But all machines on the domain use PL. It's part of the image for the PC side and on Mac it's installed automatically during provisioning. We have Ricoh and Canon copiers. Both vendors send out techs to setup the copier (connect pieces, enable staple function, ect). We (my team) are responsible for getting the MAC address of the new copiers and send that info to the network team so they can add them to IPAM. Once added then we can install the copiers on users PC's.
We use PrinterLogic (Deliver a Serverless Printing Infrastructure and keep print jobs local - https://www.printerlogic.com/) for our printers/copiers. Not every PC has it installed (Win10 it is installed by default but we still have a lot of Win7 PC's that don't get it force installed)
