Offset on 9th Gen, versus 8th Gen

As far as the stock steel rims go, I know the bolt pattern is the same on 9th and 8th gen civics. I was wondering about the offset though. I know the 8th gen had 16" rims, but I did some research and the overall diametter of 9th and 8th gen wheels are actually the same....so really the only thing that I think could make 9th gen steelies not work on an 8th gen would be the offset. 9th gen has 45mm offsets front and back (I think) but does anyone know what the 8th Gen had?

8thgens have the same offset.

I believe the LX steelies are 6" wide, and have a 48mm offset.
