Haha yea I just used regular painters tape and taped it off...as for the primer...I used a plastic engine component primer that I found at the store that mixed my paint!

if you want, you can do it with red plasti dip, i made it with and its very nice...and you can remove it if you whant.

plastidip? how's that going to hold up to the engine heat?

That's what I'm curious about as well! I mean I know that it's pretty durable but I'm wondering about the heat and if that will affect it...bubbles, peeling, etc.

Looks good though...great because if down the road you don't want it anymore you can just peel it off!

definitely. if the plastidip works, fantastic, but i'm wondering if A) it'll bubble/peel, or B) if it'll just melt it to the plastic, thus making it look bad/warping the coat and making it unreomovable

I believe it will hold up because I used it on the shroud around my exhaust tips. It gets very hot. After a year there is no bubbling or blistering.
