So I just received my tsudo catback in the mail. I took all the peices out to make sure I had everything I needed and there were these oval like shaped peices in their (the photo below). The box came with three of these. I'm pretty sure they go in between where the exhaust components connect. Figuring this I added up only two places where there was that shape of an opening, yet three pieces. I hope this makes sense :p but anyways is this because two maybe need to stack on top of each other when connecting a certain piece? Or did they just give and extra just incase? Orrrr maybe there's another place that the third one goes? Plz help! Thanks

Also there is a fourth oval shaped piece that has three holes that connects the cat to mid pipe so it couldn't go there. Just to narrow the possibilities

They're gaskets. They are used to keep exhaust gas from leaking out at the bolted flange connections like you stated. If you've already ruled out the downpipe-to-intermediate pipe, I'd say it's an extra.

My Tsudo came with an extra one too, no worries you installed it right.
How do you like it?

I tried too and couldn't get the leverage to take off the cat bolts so I'm getting it done tomorrow morning. And it was shipped on Monday and came Wednesday afternoon so pretty quick!

Go buy a can of PB blaster. That stuff works great at loosening up rusty and stuck nuts and bolts. Its nothing like wd40. This stuff actually works. Then, after letting it set for a couple hours, spray agin before workning on it. If by chance its still not loose, put a little bit of heat to heat. I have an Acetalyne torch set, but a propane torch can work as well. Problem with using a breaker bar, is that it can and a lot of times does break the bolts. Just a little helpful advice from working on old cars for the last 25+ years.
