Taillight tinting

I'm looking to tint my taillights and was wondering exactly how. I haven't seen a company make the tint cut out exactly for the taillights yet, but maybe someone can post a link if it exists?
Also, would a vinyl tint or spray on look better?
I'm not looking for anything too dark, just a little tint.
Lastly, maybe a link to where I could get a good spray tint?

Several options out there, most shops do spray tint which you can do VHT Tint Spary or PlastiDip Tint Spray, both have their own different effect and finish. You can get the VHT at your local auto store, the tint plastidip is online online.

I did vinyl tint myself, it was pretty tough but I manage to wrap it and finishes with gloss and tint consistency. I would highly recommend not to get cut outs if you do the entire taillight since you will need to stretch over different areas of the taillight. You can get this tint on ebay for fairly cheap ~ 10$ enough for both sides

bluebatmobile does taillights. You have to email him what you'd like to purchase though. He's legit. He was setup as a vendor for years on a past forum I ran.

Thanks, I was looking at the plasti dip smoke, would I add the glossifier on top of that? Or is that unnecessary for lights?

Its not going to be a smooth finish since plastidip is naturally textured and you cant wet sand it but yes, if you want a shiny finish then you can add glossifier or really any clear coat on top of it.

I used vht two shades was so easy and I like the look this was 2 coats but I suggest only one and maybe a clear coat for a little darker. The 2 coats makes the taillight difficult to see during the day. The bar on the fin with the less shines right trew

Just searched theres one in Chula Vista maybe 10/15 mins away. I might go there one day if I ever have a reason to go to chula

Tail light tint is a good reason . I do have to say I like the look of the whole thing tinted but kinda regret doing over the reverse lights.

You're right but I just spent a good bit of money on car washing stuff plus my mom is gonna kill me if i tint my tail lights lol. If i end up tinting then im definitely not gonna do the reverse lights

my dad just shook his head when he saw me bringing the lights down stairs to dry because it was to cold outside. i know how it feels hahahaha

It is sold by and ships from Amazon, why would you have to worry about that? Get yourself a Prime subscription and stuff comes crazy fast as long as it is sold by and ships from Amazon. I'm also weary about online shipping because of packages possibly being stolen from my porch

I just tinted mine if you're still deciding what to do. It cost like 3.50 for the tint on ebay with free shipping and was difficult near the top and outer sides, but if you do it on a nice warm day, you dont need a heat gun as this will warm up the vinyl enough to stretch.

Just a heads up. You will be a bulls-eye for a lawsuit if you get in an accident. Particularly at night.
