Those of youwith aftermarket wheels did you switch your tps over tothe new wheels or do without them? If you went without how did you get rid of the warning that comes up?

There isn't a way to get rid of the message unless you either use the oem sensors, or you have new sensors programmed.

I think that if you don't replace the sensors, you also cannot turn off traction control, if you're talking about an Si.

It wont affect anything in your car you will just have to keep tabs on your air pressure the old school way lol
my buddy with his 9th sedan just leaves them off with the after market wheels so he dosent have to pay the extra cash because if your going to do that its gonna cost you everytime you switch your wheels out so if you wanna save alil cash use no sensors on your after markets and just use a lil piece of masking tape and color it black with a sharpie and cover the light like my friend did you cant even tell bro so that way in the winter as soon as you put your factory's back on it shuts off right away and its done !

or buy new sensors that way you have sensors on both sets their not that much so id probaly do that. hope that helps bro

hotdog mentioned the main issue - not being able to turn off traction control. If you have a tpms sensor warning, you cannot disable traction control (if that matters to you). If it doesn't matter, you can run without tpms. You'll just see the warning each time you start the car.

I have seen a couple of instances where drastic wheel offset change resulted in the sensors not being picked (read). The new Accords use wheel speed (size) to calculate if a tire is deflating so the physical sensor is no longer required.

for a new car (2012-2013) yes......if you bring me a 2008 with sensors im not touching them unless you agree to a cost of new sensors (in case the break/fault). they break on cars everyday with just normal driving. let alone a tech putting a wrench on them.
