So, here's my update to all my TPMS drama.
In early November, I had some TPMS errors pop up. They said something about the TPMS system needing to be serviced, or needing maintenance. Whatever it was, it all went away in about 5 minutes and hasn't come on again.
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed my front tires looked low. They both had about 24 lbs of pressure in them. The TPMS warning lights never came on. Seemed odd.
Yesterday, we swapped out the OEM tires/wheels for the winter tires/wheels. I did not use the tool to change the codes yet because I didn't feel like it. I kept expecting the warning lights to come on while I was driving to work because the wrong sensors are now on the car and the system should NOT recognize them until I send the codes. Nothing.
I suspect the entire TMPS system failed back in November, but it's broken to the point it doesn't know it's broken. I was doing some web searches but I cannot find anything. Guess I'll be visiting the dealership next week. Good thing for Honda extended warranties...
Anyone else see anything like this?
