Got out of the army 8months ago 13m(multiple rock launching systems crew member) now drive truck for Halliburton and cement well sites before they are ready to produce product

Another field test, called a double ring inflitometer, pretty much the rings have 2.5 inches of water in them and the clear plastic tubes have water in them and as water drops in the rings the water drops in the clear tubes to maintain the 2.5 inch head. Reading my calibrated Ikea ruler every 10 mins and recording the water dropping.
In a nutshell, it's 2 hours of work driving the 4 rings in 6 inches and depending in the soil it's either another 6 hours of sitting and doing nothing or 6 hours of working my *** off

Being a retail tech I work on a myriad of products. I work for NCR, but I work on all products, IBM, Toshiba, Radiant, Motorola (symbol), Epson, Lexmark, Genicom, Printronix, etc are the most popular ones but I could list hundreds. This is one of "our" products, can anyone guess what it is? Btw, this "pilot" software has a ton of bugs and is just junk.

Had an idea for an interesting thread. Post pics up of what you do at work. I'm a retail technician (official job title is customer engineer II), meaning I fix any technology used in a retail store and a few restaurants. Me personally I also run networking calls for my company as I'm Cisco fundemental certified. A few days ago I had a tractor replacement on a genicom printer.
Love dealing with those old line printers. lol. The IBM model is the size of a friggin stove! Had to be big to provide all of that insulation from noise.

Yeah, I've seen the "windows" screen whenever the machine goes BSOD and store clerk have to reboot it. lol. Not good for POS (it's really POS!). You'd think by now they would use linux.

I'm the systems engineer for major mortgage company. I deal with Windows 2003, 2008 and various flavors of Linux servers that I built for the company. I also maintain the network infrastructure. Love working there as I have freedom to "run my own shop" to benefit the company and trying out new stuff. Love it!

I am a senior enlisted adviser at my Air Force Base and a satellite communications specialist. I work in a secure area, so no pictures allowed. I did find a sky shot of the area and the systems I am in charge of though... I have 20 years in and am getting ready to retire from the military summer of '13! Looking forward to it!!!

To be honest we rarely get BSOD's. If we do its usually bad memory. We can't use Linux mainly because its open source and there are a ton of laws and regulations when dealing with money and banks. The problems we are mainly having with this new software is mainly communicating with the devices. Our scripts are breaking com port assignments.
