BTW, it's typical of most insurance companies to put the blame squarely on your shoulders as often as possible that way all parties involved have to pay as much as possible out of pocket expense. It's the shady game of the insurance world. It is extremely rare to not pay anything during accidents or claims of any kind. They usually want their deductible bare minimum.

I hope you get all this sorted out. Sorry about that bit of bad luck. Try to manage the expenses best you can and you will weather this. This time next year it will just be a bad memory.

Btw, I didn't see in the thread how many miles you car had on it. I would check N.A.D.A. (<---the more important one) and Blue Book for current value of your car, mileage and package... Then I would assume 5-6k damage to repair off that cost. This will help you decide if it's going to be chalked up as a totaled or not. I am just guessing this car is not totaled, but it's hard to say with limited info.
