Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

Yeah, last week was the annual Blue Ridge Gathering event. I was not able to make it and was quite upset by it as it has been over 15yrs at this point since I last attended. But, my car wasn't done (I did manage to get the transmission back in this past weekend) and I ultimately couldn't afford the trip. So, I didn't make it and the posts throughout the week were making me sad I couldn't be there.

It's cool. I'm not upset like seeing an ex I miss after years; the one that got away kinda thing. Just disheartened I wasn't able to make a triumphant return.

@Honda-Fan .....sewing machines, dried flowers???? Trying to take the old man title from @bootyluvr ?

There are perfectly logical reasons for what I'm doing! :spaz: I've been leaving my apartment a lot this summer to go outside on my bike to the nature trails, and there's so much cool and emotionally challenging stuff outside that I didn't know about!

Have you considered:

Flowers are pretty -- I have a favorite flower now, and it's Strelitzia.

Sewing is fun -- the sewing store has way cooler patterns than the stuff at the supermarket, and floral/geometric patterns are my favorite.

Umbrellas of Cherbourg is a beautiful film that I cried during, and the singing throughout is pretty interesting set against the continuous background score.

This popped up. Same spec as my 1990 I had in Edmonton but in better condition. 4 speed manual STD.

Seems way over priced to me . . . or am I just off base on what antique base model Hondas with nearly 200kms (and presumably rust underneath even though the poorly written ad says there is none) go for?

Who knows man.

I sold mine for $5500. But I bought it for $500 and put $5000 into it.

$9k CAD = $6,543.04 USD
I can't click on the link right now but I thought it was around that when I clicked on it this morning.
Still pricey at $6500 USD for it. I agree.

Yeah, close enough (actual price on the ad is $9,900 CAD). Still, $6500-7000 for a 35yr old base model Honda Civic with nearly 115k miles (182,900km = 113,649mi) that was driven in a snowy area (it's Canada, so I somewhat equate that to the US rust belt) really seems over-priced to me. It's not crazy priced (saw a 1991 Camaro with ~41k miles listed the other day, seller asking $45k for it) but does seem way over priced to me. Maybe it is one of those things on the up swing due to being a classic car and I don't understand the market; but, I doubt it would be something I'd pay nearly $10k for unless there was some nostalgic or sentimental value there to make it worth it to me.

its probably not over priced for the market. but over priced for me and you for sure. it says no rust, the exhaust looks mint, i would assume it was never driven in the winter and its in bc so no salt used on the roads. its also not modified and in mint condition. std was the lightest model. i miss mine so much. was my first b16 car. thing ripped.

FINAL Year model!

For the US, yes. Technically, this style ran until early 2001 production in Japan (official production stopped in Dec 2000).

The 99 VR-4 is sought after for being the final production run, having the more aggressive facelift that most enthusiasts want (myself included), and extremely low production numbers (only 287 produced). And, with this one having very low miles, I'm not surprised by the price (a bit high, but not insanely high; still more than I can afford).

3/S cars that are more rare than a 99 VR-4 (for USDM production):
1996 Stealth R/T TT (57 produced)
1996 Stealth R/T Sport (115 produced)
1996 Stealth base (188 produced)
1998 3000GT VR-4 (231 produced)
1995 Stealth R/T TT (actual production numbers are not known but they do exist)
