Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

Just found out the Tacoma doesn’t have a normal spin on oil filter. So I have to buy some tool kit ($70ish for a nice one, one time fee) to be able to perform the oil change.

Dealer oil change is $100 unless you can get a coupon.
To be fair. Toyota has been using that style for a long time. You can use some large adjustable pliers. And pretty much any oil change in Canada is over $100. Covid screwed everyone.

Spent the day at the lake.

I’m sure I researched this when I first got the truck but was just reminded of it since I will be doing an oil change in the next few weeks.

The “kit” I’ve see are just all overkill. I can just buy the filter housing wrench for $35 for a nice one.

Do you all use a magnetic oil drain plug?

Also, I believe the new Tacoma has gone to the regular spin off oil filter.

valet parking at a mall?
We also have that here at the high-end/wealthy mall in Orlando (Mall at Millenia). It's such a pain to get a parking spot though, I can kinda understand the valet parking to avoid the frustration of it all (but, my broke azz has never used it).

I use a magnetic drain plug on my civic. It's a good idea for a little extra protection for little cost.

Never had it..

Why am I having such a hard time finding OEM part numbers for JDM emblems for my sedan? @webby you're the king of searching, help me out. Although I'll probably end up buying fake ones again as one real one seems to be about $100 CND.

Apparently there's a grizzly bear here now. And it's been spotted near my work.

So there isn’t a 9th gem JDM civic. They didn’t offer one in Japan, so the part doesn’t actually exist. People just used random type r badges to see what fits the 9th gen.

Icb is one of the few companies people have said offer authentic emblems. They offer emblems that fit the 9th gen US model
