2012 Civic Coupe EX Build

I installed some fender liners today, hopefully the tired don't eat them up this time. I installed a new mirror cap on the driver side and well this is the result of a DIY, but I'll be ordering a mirror soon. Also changed out the filters today.

I have a new oil leak somewhere on the driver side I would say mid way up, not near the oil drain plug or filter.

Yeah lol I could of done without the broken mirror, but live and learn. @webby are you aware of anything that might leak oil on the driver side? My car just hit 170K, not sure if anything just gave out like a seal or gasket?

Ah, I forgot I also added the new rubber door seal. I had super glued it before to make it stay. lol Cleaned it off nd put the new.

I can't quite place where that leak is. I wonder if it's where the trans and engine join? Are your engine oil or transmission fluid showing full?

Hey all!

I decided to go ahead and fix my fog lights after about a year of neglect. Turned out to be the relay. I was looking into where my fuse tap was and I moved it to fuse 23 so the power to it gets cut when ignition is off and gets power when ignition is on. I have two 10 AMP fuses in the tap, but I believe slot 23 is 7.5, should I have two of those instead of the 10’s since fogs don’t require too much? Thanks guys.

Yea, I’d grab some 7.5amp fuses when you get a chance, although 10amp fuses are unlikely to cause you any issues with wires burning or something before the fuse would pop.

I have an issue with my driver side fog light connector. The sits in there and it works, but I just feel like it isn't seated firmly and over time loosens the connection and no longer works. My right side is fine. Any grease or other methods to fix the issue instead of clipping the wires and connecting a new plug?

Can you throw a zip tie or something around the connector to keep it from separating?

I can try that out, might be the only option. Wouldn't the light burn the zip-tie?
I wouldn’t think the connector would get that hot. If it did, it could easily melt the plastic connector. They also sell stainless steel zip ties on amazon or harbor freight if you’re worried. I think they were like $6 or something at harbor freight for a bunch in a pack. Amazon also has tons of options and lengths you could buy, but if you’ve got standard plastic ones, I’d just try those first.
