If you want a SRI I'd say so, the box keeps it from pulling just straight engine bay air like the K&N will

The K&N doesn't really pull engine air from the top, because it seals at the top against the hood insulator. That's why the weatherstripping pieces. But I won't pretend it performs any better than takeda/greddy.

That's awesome, if you want to leave the foglight out you could add a mesh grille to keep larger debris from getting in.. Though I think you'll still get good results with the foglight in, as I have. Welcome to Club AEM!

Yeah. There are 3 phillips screws that fasten the light assembly to the housing. It should be easy to fasten a small piece of mesh there.W
